Catch me I’m Falling

Ok, first off I am going to have a rant…not a usual SL type rant, but a RL rant if you will. I just started watching Vampire Diaries, and do not panic, I am not about to do a spoilers thing, but I have watched the whole first season, and I am hooked now, even though I have tried to watch the series 4 different times and never, until now, got past the first episode. It got me to thinking though, I do love me some Vampires type shows/movies, and I am like many waiting on the next True Blood to come on…then of course Twilight finished incredibly well I must say, and no I am not obsessive, I just liked it.

But the original and still favourite has to be Buffy and Angel, that was a love story and a half, and I miss the shows a lot. But my rant is, what is with all this rule changing crap. What is with Vampires having reflections, and being able to be out in the sun, and eating garlic, and not needing to sleep all day… I know there were times when Angel could do certain things, but sheeesh I am getting really annoyed and think I got ripped off, and I want to throw down my soapbox and demand a redo, I think that all the originals should have to come back and the whole Buffy and Angel and Spike and whatever should all get to come back with the ‘New Rules” – end rant.

So now that that is out of the way, and expunged from my system. On to the Bee’s, well a mix really. Bee’s through the Seasons event is nearing its end, and there are so many wonderful items to get there, as well as experience the great themed event layout itself. The top I am wearing is actually a dress that I am wearing part of by OkBye. The little spring dress is a micro mini with mesh insert and the colour worked really well with the adorable palms irie skirt by Emery that is at this session of My Attic @ The Deck.

Visor Vis

FaMESHed always has such a range of items each month, and September has been a mix and mash of all sorts of styles, from clothing to furniture and hair, it all works. The two dresses shown today are from this months session, and be sure to snap them up because the style is so easy to wear, and comes in really nice colours. The razorback dresses come in short or long versions, and I really like the stripe featured, which is showing up more and more on fashion at the moment and creates a nice break to an otherwise solid scheme…

Bedazzling Rocker Style

It seems to be that studs are the new black, or the new accent to the new black, and even on black but also other colours so there is that too. I like studs, it is very 80’s, we had all the belts and jeans and all sorts of stuff had studs attached, it was the punk rock form of bedazzling. That moved on to safety pins for a while, we put those on everything too, crazy decade fashion wise, and it has returned in the last few years but with a definite leaning towards better taste, as the good parts came forward, the crazy stuff stayed where it should.

Orange Peel – FaMESHed

Earlier today I was laying out some building stuff, and Whimsy built me a lovely courtyard area to nestle it in. I ended up picking up the build, but couldn’t give up the chance to take a pic with the lovely bits and pieces that ended up a great space for this bistro table set by Cheeky Pea that is part of this months FaMEShed. FaMESHed has such an interesting assortment of items, from clothing and other fashion related items to homewares that are must haves, all under the one roof.

Lets get Physical @ The Loft via FaMESHed/August

Recently The Loft did a huge release of a mesh house – which is amazing looking – and interiors that are texture change with so many beautiful colour options that you will be in decorating heaven for ages. Today I am showing the Tribeca Bedroom, which is set inside the Casa Bramasole house by Deer Co. I also added an older mesh item from The Loft which was the Frezza Sofa, also with texture change options that brought it together well with the use of blues and orange/coral colours. Hair Fair 2012 – Lollipopz oh lolli lollipopz

Second last day of Hair Fair 2012. I felt like showing some summer beachwear and these new items are perfect, especially with the hair shown. The bikini is the latest release from BOOM, and they come in an abundance of colours and prints. The style is sexy and has adorable ties on the hips. I especially love the chevron prints and camo, but showing the brilliant Lime and the doll pink chevron for this post…

Hair Fair 2012 – They put the Frou Frou in You You

As I have said often before, Bela Tolsen of Tutti Frutti does incredible work with prints. Whether layer clothing, or mesh, every item that has incredible print is spot on, and it made me kind of wish she would do some tutorials on that subject. These latest mesh items she has released are beautiful, and not just the mesh, but also the system layered pants, I really like the floral in the capris, and the pattern on the jeans is amazing. I was even more excited to see her do some solid colours in the Carrie mesh jeans, the stitching detailing is vivid and fun, and I just love how well the colour went with the sexy leopard print halter top.

Hair Fair 2012 – A logo for your thoughts

First thing is that I am so excited to be asked to be a Faculty Pick for this month on SLStyle Academy. It was totally an honor to be asked, and I am sure eventually they will get around to everyone on their great feed, but getting asked to share a blogger choice and a store choice was a lovely thing to be able to do. There are hundreds if not thousands of bloggers in SL and I wish I knew them all, I think everyone that blogs with passion and wants to really share the community spirit of Second Life are amazing, and a big shout out to all of them, but I could only choose one, so I went closest to home, right beside me on our blogging platform Whimsy Winx of Virtually Dressed Blog. I tease her all the time about ‘The history of Denim” because when she is really passionate about a post, she can go into such detail that it is so informative to read and enjoy, she really cares about helping people understand things she wants to share.

The other pick, was of course the VR Studio by VR Foundry, I could not blog without it, but not only do I use it for blogging, but for any kind of picture taking as well as other things that the tools allow for. I love the freedom I have using the library HUD that lets me pose anywhere I need to, I love the ability to control up to 6 posestands at once if wanting to do group shots and so on, but I also love the ease in which I can keep every libray organised by store if I want to , or I can fill them with types of poses, so swapping to a library of sit poses or laying poses is just a click.

There are new faculty picks posted every month on the feed, and the other two this month are great blog choices for sure, so make sure you visit them if you get the time.
