Chev not Chav

This session of My Attic at The Deck is closing at midnight tonight. So this is your last chance to get all these great items at the 95L price range. The theme was Change, and this Chevron dress with its great shape and lovely texturing, brings thoughts of change with the motion of the great chevron print. I love chevron and with it being an inserted panel style, it really pops. The dress also has appliers options, which is a hard task with upper mesh items, but DCNY has pulled it off incredibly well. The dress comes with and without belt options, and the belts are black or brown…very cool.

An Aria

League has been working on this NEW skin for the past few months. I did get a sneak peak a month or so ago and have been waiting excitedly for its release ever since. The full release is not going to be this week, but a partial “Special Edition” preview will be, and the skin is just marvelous. There is often a collective sigh when it comes to good black skins being more available on the grid, and there are mixed reactions when they are made available, it is a hard thing to get right, so many steer clear of them. Thankfully League hasn’t. Aria comes in three tones, and has the cleavage layers, nail covers, hairbases, including an afro version base – shown in the first pic. I can see this skin not only being great for girls that have been looking for a good black skin, as well as designers who want to add a little diversity to their vendor ads. There is an Aria shape, but I went with mine, so that you can see how it works on features you are familiar with…definitely take her for a spin yourself, because she is beautiful. The new tones will also have appliers available to purchase for SLink hands and feet, as well as lolas, so look for those in the appliers section when the release is announced….

Catch me I’m Falling

Ok, first off I am going to have a rant…not a usual SL type rant, but a RL rant if you will. I just started watching Vampire Diaries, and do not panic, I am not about to do a spoilers thing, but I have watched the whole first season, and I am hooked now, even though I have tried to watch the series 4 different times and never, until now, got past the first episode. It got me to thinking though, I do love me some Vampires type shows/movies, and I am like many waiting on the next True Blood to come on…then of course Twilight finished incredibly well I must say, and no I am not obsessive, I just liked it.

But the original and still favourite has to be Buffy and Angel, that was a love story and a half, and I miss the shows a lot. But my rant is, what is with all this rule changing crap. What is with Vampires having reflections, and being able to be out in the sun, and eating garlic, and not needing to sleep all day… I know there were times when Angel could do certain things, but sheeesh I am getting really annoyed and think I got ripped off, and I want to throw down my soapbox and demand a redo, I think that all the originals should have to come back and the whole Buffy and Angel and Spike and whatever should all get to come back with the ‘New Rules” – end rant.

So now that that is out of the way, and expunged from my system. On to the Bee’s, well a mix really. Bee’s through the Seasons event is nearing its end, and there are so many wonderful items to get there, as well as experience the great themed event layout itself. The top I am wearing is actually a dress that I am wearing part of by OkBye. The little spring dress is a micro mini with mesh insert and the colour worked really well with the adorable palms irie skirt by Emery that is at this session of My Attic @ The Deck.

Haus Proud

Lacuna is a new store, and their second release is part of this session of My Attic @ The Deck. The Diametric skirts are pure bliss, not only to wear, but to look at, they elongate the body, and the texturing and colours used are superb. The bandeau tops that are included as a special My Attic option, come in the two colours used in the skirt, so its an incredible Must Have item. The changing of tops can completely change the mood of each look, and I love the resort wear simplicity of the whole look. It also gave me a chance to show off the new skin Nina by LoOmi, not exactly new new this week, but one of the latest releases by the brand, and I not only love the body, and sexy as tummy…but the face is a joy.

Girly Gotcha

SySy’s has been creating some lovely items of late, and this great Switch skirt is just another must have item. The switch skirt is at My Attic, and you get both lengths included, the pencil and the mini, which is a great idea and so versatile. With the beautiful colours of leathers, it is a wonderful mix and match item. I teamed it up with an array of tops, and because of its low slung waist, it fits under everything I have tried and more…

Minty Fresh

Mixing it up with minty freshness. The swimsuit is all perfectly glittery in a lovely shade of mint, which is part of the Sprint into Summer set by Stellar at My Attic. The set also comes with a long skirt in a beachy look, but I went with this flirty ruffled number by Tee*fy that is part of this months Collabor88. The swimsuit and skirt (not shown) are one part of the set, and the sunglasses and eyeshadow worn, are part of the accessories add on pack by Stellar.

Destiny – What’s Yours

I have been all over the place this past week, and feel like I really neglected blogging, so I am sorry about that. But I did have a blast setting up for My Attic with Whimsy, and rebuilding the build to be even longer because of the amount of fabulous stores we have this session. There was one stage were Mel had to log in and fix the floor, because well between the two of us girls, we kind of messed it all up to hell and back…I think at one stage we tried to drown Sachi and SySy, making them fall in between prims.

I have also as I mentioned in previous posts, been making nail huds, for the wonderful Avatar Enhanced items by Slink. The nails huds for feet and hands, just got a lot better, for those that aren’t into the hands, or wear too many skins and your skin store hasn’t done appliers yet, she just released a nail only option at Slink near the hands on the wall, for only a small price…and all the huds will work on those too, as well as them having the different lengths options, so pure win I say. I am wearing a pair of fluro nails that I made in the past week, you can see all the nails I have been doing HERE.

On top of that Slink managed to rerelease some older shoes in a mesh add on version, which means they fit on over the top of your mesh rigged feet. So re-introducing DESTINY! These are fabulous and very very high, and not only do they come in these gorgous strappy and very plasticy looking options, but each one also has the clear versions, for even more effect….

Dark brows for Gorgeous sake

Crazy is the name of the jeans I am wearing, and you will be if you don’t go and grab them from this session of  My Attic @ The Deck. I love the stripes on them, especially the narrow pink one at the hips that looks as though a skinny belt has been added to the jeans. They are also fabulous colours wise, and I could not resist pairing them up with this new silk tank by Goucci. Not only is it silky and a less traditional tank style, more of a sleeveless blouse than anything, but that it is slightly narrower than normal, helps it give incredible side boob…so if your man is a fan of yours, then entice and tease him with this. The blouse comes in an array of lovely colours, and it is beautifully made and makes styling with it easy.

A dress for JJ

I have been sitting on this dress for a few weeks now, so excited I was when it was in the process of being made, as I had only ever seen a Tstrap dress like this in RL many years ago and it was instant love. Wow actually so many years ago now at least 20…it is bizarre sometimes to even think of having memories of adulthood that far back, and for the record I am only 40.

I love the Tstrap as mentioned, but I really also like the folds of the skirt portion of the dress, as it just moves so well when you walk, or pose with a hip jut. Very sexy indeed. The dress comes in two types of colour palettes, a strong classics set, which I am wearing the chocolate version of now…then there is the brights set, which the lovely Willow Zander showed in full on her blog HERE. All Laced Up

Sneak peaks are funna. This is the soon to be released for League item, that will be a feature at Whore Couture Fair that is about to begin in a few days. The list of designers is huge, you can see it HERE. One thing I always love is a great corset, and these new ones by League are greater than great, they are divine. Not only are they beautiful and unique in style, but they also have options that give you many ways to wear them, and definitely make them a must have item. You will be able to wear them casually as I did in the firts pics, more adventurous, girly like, or with a club vibe…whatever takes your fancy, they will work.

I have taken pics of the HUDs as well, as the three styles have different options. First off the leather, they come with the straps down, one up one down, or sleeveless. Then you have all the studs options metal wise, as well as off. LOVE THAT !  Then there is the Lace version, which only comes in three colours at the moment, but I am sure there will be bigger releases on those and the dayglo after the event. The Lace version is more detailed than the leather. The options with the sleeves is the same, but with the added bonus of black trim, or brown trim, or no trim. Then there is the different boning options in both trim colours, or no boning at all. Then also the studs or no studs etc.

Then you have the Dayglo, which is also only three colours so far, but the bonus if you buy the three in one pack, is that the sleeves will change to the other colours, so that is even more options wise…these are gorgeous, and in all three variations, I adore the uneven bottom, and the straps are just gorgeous and alluring. The other item being released is the ADD-ON skirt. This beautiful silky skirt comes in many colours, and fits perfectly under the corset, to make either a contrast look, or an all in one dress. There is also a hud for the skirts that lets you change them from clean to dirty, which is really like an ombre look at the bottom. You will be able to see all that in the demos I would expect, but definitely mark your calendars for the day the fair opens, because it is going to be HUGE…
