Tummy Techniques
It has been a funny week this week, so much going on in the land of the Avatar, but there has also been more of a worker bee buzzzzzz, silent but building as people from all over are doing their thing. That’s how it seems to me anyway…I know we have been working hard on Hair Fair stuff, and Another Fundraiser is ending on the weekend, Project Fur is about to begin and Pacific Crisis Fundraiser is on until the tenth.

Pose Fair 2011
Pose Fair 2011 is about to start, from the 1st of April until the 15th, there are over a hundred stores on two levels. With NEW and older posesets, props and gadgetry you will not want to miss it. If you are a photographer, model, blogger or just starting out, this fair has it all. One thing that stood out this year was the growth in family orientated and childrens poses, a lot less of the ‘look at me I am fabulous’ and more of the ‘ we are family’ type of photo ops are there for the clicking, and I personally loved seeing it. There are also some amazing friends and couples poses, and the imagination shown in some of the vendor pics was a joy to see.

Diamond Spray
I had a Hair Fair meeting today, because it is getting close to the deadline for applying, so making sure that we were all on the same page was the agenda. Afterwards I ran around a bit, throwing some info at some stores that have popped up in the time since the last one to now. I checked out a few ‘out there’ stores and got a little bit sad thinking about the loss of Achariya to fashion blogging in SL. If you hadn’t heard, yesterday was her last post. Who is going to blog for the future Acha’s of SL? In the old days, it was her and Ashia that did most of the ‘out there’ fashion blogging, it was never a surprise to see one of them turning up in some fire breathing alien cyborg fetish panther suit, or as a pink bunny, you know, whatever tickled them for the day. Ashia stopped last year, and now Achariya, and I think it is more of a loss than most would even think.

Hair Fair 2011 Application Reminder
Hair Fair 2011 is coming up fast, so be sure that if you are a new hair store, or even an older one, if you have not signed up yet to be a part of this once a year HUGE event, do so now. Applications close on March 31st, so be sure to get your store registered. If you are making hair for the first time, and are not sure how to go about being part of Hair Fair, please contact one of the Hair Fair committee members and they can discuss it with you.

Another Fundraiser II – Dancing Queen
I was having such a day the other day, and a notice announcing Comfort dropped down on my screen and I smiled and was all happy again. What also makes me happy is such incredible skins and make ups for only 50L to help raise funds for Japan.

Another Fundraiser II – Geisha Downtime
Another Fundraiser II starts 26th March
Toooooooooooooooooooooooooomorrow Tomorrow I love ya tomoooorrrrroooowwww it’s only a day awayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. Sing it with me, because that is when Another Fundraiser II starts 
. Ok so if you know me, or you have payed attention to me in the last however many years, you know that I am only ever shameless when it comes to Charity Stuffs, as in I usually don’t show my goodies, in more ways than one.
Today though I decided that my goodies are worth showing, and I wanted to also show other peoples goodies, but seeing as I don’t have permission, you will have to go look your own self HERE. My goodies are Mina mods with a little bit of Eloh, I wont tell you what bits because that would be TMI.
Ok so tomorrow is the Starting date of Another Fundraiser II and at 50L a pop there is going to be a lot of singing going on, because the items I have seen so far are OFF THE HOOK! – yeah I also talk like I am loaded with bling bling too – but anywho, you come you see you buy you love, it is all goodly. Also if you want to still participate you can, even if late, I don’t care, if I have the room you bring your goodies and we can have more goodies, YAY.
After midnight tonight look in search places and you will find it Another Fundraiser II or you can just look for us at The Deck.
Kissed by the Sun
Doing a lot of back and forth this week. Another Fundraiser II is just around the corner, and already I want everything I have seen. I can’t wait until everyone sees what people have done, the ideas have been amazing.
A few weeks ago I mentioned Too One Lounge, an event at the Slow sim, but alas it is over now…but the items I got are so gorgeous I still wanted to share, especially this one as it is so feminine and beautiful. Boho is a look that is mentioned a lot with this kind of outfit, and it has definitely got that swishy bohemian carefree and spontaneous feel about it. The dress’s length is super short for this kind of look, but it is a must for traipsing around the markets and going down to a beachside cafe for lunch.

Another Fundraiser II Reminder
A big reminder that Another Fundraiser II is about to begin this weekend. I have been lucky to see some of the skins/tats that are planned for this event, and they are fantastic…people have really gone all out. It is still not too late to participate, and you do not have to own a store to do so. You can make some simple and fun tattoo layers, or do some modifification to the skin templates available to download, all are welcome. If you are unable to particpate please spread the word, and also plan on buying all the goodies.
It has been three long years since Another Fundraiser, and every year we have been asked if there was going to be another Another. It started as a spark of an idea and grew into something amazing.
With the release of Mina Jun’s skins to be used for Japanese crisis charity efforts, we felt that it was time to bring back Another Fundraiser, combining the tools we have been graciously given over the years, providing those that want to participate a combination of Mina, Eloh Eliot and Sezmra Svarog’s skin templates that you can use as your base, or as a guide. The difference this time around is that you can release the finished products as either a full skin, a makeup tattoo layer, or both. The items will be set out for sale at one and possibly two locations on the grid, and sold for 50L each.
All proceeds from the event will go to the Red Cross to help the victims of the overwhelming disasters that have struck Japan.
- All items must be set up by the 24th March at the provided location, and you must ask to be added to the Group so you can set out your prims. We will send a message and vendor kit in the group notices closer to set up.
- Maximum 4 prims per person. You must also use only the Another Fundraiser Script provided at time of set up, items found not containing that script before we open will have to be removed.
- Your vendor must be 1m by 1m by 0.10 thick so that two fit on each stand and must show a clear picture of your skin or tattoo layer as well as saying what they are; tattoo, skin or both.
- Your skins/tattoos must be sold YES copy/ NO mod/ NO transfer so that all in the event are the same.
- Please make sure when creating either your skin or tattoo layer, that you use your own base inventory item. You can do this by right clicking inside of any folder in your inventory, choosing new body parts then skin or new clothing layers then tattoo. This can help people that purchase find your items after the event is over, or direct people to you.
- You will need Gimp, Photoshop, or other photo editing software to be able to participate. Links to other resources for brushes and tutorials are provided at the bottom of this post.
All skill levels are welcome! So much came out of the Another Fundraiser, and Eloh Eliot’s .psd release, that we have watched average Second Life residents “level up” learning about content creations, and developing their own skin lines. First they were based off the Eloh’s, over time, as they learned, many were able to develop the skins necessary to fully develop their own bases. With the advancements of makeup/tattoo layers since then, we can’t wait to see what you can do! Grab the templates, check out tutorials, and give it a shot.
